One of the greatest things about being in a sorority at USC are the beautiful houses we get to call our homes. Not only is the Greek Village unlike any college community, getting to live in the house is a once in a lifetime opportunity. The house is a place that is always filled with laughter, entertainment and yummy food. Whether sisters are practicing for Greek Week or eating brunch, there is always something to do and someone to do it with.
Whenever I tell people I live in a sorority house, the first thing they say is “Wow, that’s a lot of girls”. Yes, having 40 people living under one roof can be challenging, but it is an a chance to get to live with your sisters and get to know older girls you may have never known otherwise. Whether it is having an older sister just downstairs to help you study for a test, or a sister to take you class when it's raining. Having so many girls under one roof is just another way to grow closer as a chapter.
Living in the house is not only a great way to meet other sisters, but it provides you with so many opportunities of things to do. In the Fall, we had game day watch parties in the chapter room and in the Spring we had a Galentine’s Shondaland party. Our two TV rooms are great places to just relax and enjoy some Netflix and popcorn with your friends without having to leave your home. On Fridays, for brunch, you don’t even have to change out of your pajamas to come get some Nutella French Toast or mini quiches. And sometimes, our amazing kitchen staff will even bake us cookies!
The Mu Mansion has become a home away from home to me and I cannot imagine spending the greatest four years of my life anywhere else!
