I’ve seen this process from three different perspectives and have learned a lot. Going through formal recruitment as a freshman in the Fall of 2013, I didn’t know what to expect. Being over 500 miles away from home, it was easy to see that going Greek at an SEC school was going to be very different than my friends’ experiences back in New Jersey. My sophomore year I recruited inside the house getting to cheer and talk to a handful of potential new members. After seeing both sides of the process, I decided to serve as a Pi Chi (recruitment counselor) for Fall 2015 recruitment.
While working with a ton of potential new members one-on-one, I found there are a few tips every girl needs to hear before walking into her first house.
